Triple Delight

This is a really great dish that consists of oyster and soy sauce that simmers with the chicken, shrimp, beef tenderloin and some delicious vegetables.

Ingredients -

3/4 Teaspoon Five Spice Powder
2 Teaspoons White Sugar
1 Tablespoon Plus 1 Teaspoon Oyster Sauce
1 Tablespoon Plus 1 Teaspoon Soy Sauce
4 Tablespoons of Chicken Stock
1 Tablespoon Corn Starch
4 Ounces Chicken Breast, thinly sliced, skinless and boneless
8 Large Shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 Ounces Beef Tenderloin, thinly sliced
1/2 Cup Snow Peas
1/2 Cup Bamboo Shoots
1/2 Cup Baby Corn
1/2 Cup Water Chestnuts
1/4 Cup Chinese Black Mushrooms 

 
Preparation:
    1. With a wire whisk or fork, combine the 5-spice powder, sugar, oyster sauce and soy sauce in a small bowl.
    2. Set aside.
    3. Place the corn starch in another small bowl and whisk in the chicken stock until corn the starch has combined.
    4. Make sure there are no lumps.
    5. Set aside.
    6. In a wok, or large frying pan, over high heat, add the peanut oil.
    7. When oil is hot add the chicken and shrimp.
    8. Stir with two long-handled spoons until the chicken is almost cooked, about one minute.
    9. Add beef, and stir to sear it.
    10. Add the spice sauce mixture and stir to coat.
    11. Add the vegetables all at once and stir to coat.
    12. Add the chicken stock mixture.
    13. Bring quickly to a boil.
    14. Spoon onto a serving platter.
    15. Serve with steamed rice.

If you can’t find or don’t have any Chinese black mushrooms you can substitute some fresh or re-hydrated shitake mushrooms.
